This is Mia. Mia’s daddy was deployed when she was born on Father’s Day. He was lucky enough to get some leave to come home to meet her and spend time with her. It’s obvious she already has him wrapped around her tiny little pinky. <3
Mia was so good, and I love her birthmark.
All that hair!! Simply gorgeous.
The neutrals were just magic with her and so was pink. I loved snuggling her.
Such a beautiful family.
Those eyes. <3
These photos are going to be pretty special when deployment is over. She’s going to seem so big!
Sweet Emelynne was so squishy and sweet. So adorable just like her brother.
This custom made bling was perfect for her
Totally in love with floral wraps for little girls.
Big brother Liam is pretty in love with his little sister.. He will be the best big brother for sure. Sometimes sibling shot can be very difficult, not with Liam. He was all about his sister. Look at that smile.
Also, Emelynne’s parents are so beautiful, I keep getting so lucky with these gorgeous clients.
Just look how adorable this family is… <3
This session was done, ‘in-home.’ I am always willing to come to you and basically bring my studio to you. Sometimes the last thing you want to do after having a baby is get ready to leave the house. Ask me about my traveling studio.
Roozengaarde is the destination in the Spring here in WA! It really can’t get any better than fields and fields of color infront of mountains. It’s not surprising this adorable couple was willing to drive up from seattle to experience it and get their maternity photos there.
We got lucky with with the weather, it was a beautiful day and we hung out until the sun set.
This shot is just adorable (directly below), baby was kicking like crazy. She loved the tulips too. <3 They are the cutest. They will be the sweetest parents!
My mother always told me that I would never understand how much you can love someone, how much she loves me, until I have children of my own. I would just brush it off and think, ‘Meh, love is love, I know what love is.’ I grew up and experienced many different kinds of love and heart break. Then I met my future husband and found an amazing unconditional love. Our love, as unique and special as it is, cannot be compared to the love I have for my babies.
My mother is right, it’s so different. A love like no other. A love that makes you want to be the best person you can be. A love that makes you feel like you can do anything, because you want them to know that they can do anything, be anything. Something about being someone’s everything, their world, changes you. All the choices you make suddenly revolve around your children and not much else.
Not only would I not understand how much my mother loved me until I had kids, but I would not understand how much I loved my mother until I had kids. It’s like I finally ‘get’ her. I understand why she was so overprotective, why she always wanted us to be careful and think, ‘what if’ in every situation. She couldn’t bear the idea of anything horrible happening to us, I understand that feeling now. You are given these precious, amazing gifts and you want to do anything and everything in your power to protect them. Thank you mom, for loving us like that. I think we(your children) all ‘get it’ now. Now that we have found this love too. I’m so thankful we have this time in our lives together. I’m so thankful to have a mom like you. A wise and beautiful friend for life that will love me like no other person will ever love me. The truest love, the love of a mother.
Sweet, sweet Malachi. This little guy was is perfect and snuggly. Such a loved and celebrated addition to the Kamp family! We kept things simple and neutral for his session.
He did so well for the whole session. Perfectly sleepy.
We had to work hard for the sibling shot! Big brother was very much ready for a nap, but we managed to get it done! The family shots were a bit easier. The momma shots are so sweet. Being able to do naked baby makes the shots so organic and sweet.
Spring in Skagit County, WA is pretty amazing. Flowers and green everywhere, so much so that the air actually smells like flowers! I hope my kids remember that smell of spring forever and it brings them home.
Tomboys in dresses make Spring even better. It’s just a little mud, no worries! Oh and side-note, Some of the best places to shoot are just a ‘pull-over’ away. I have been known to pull over randomly for gorgeous light! This particular day, it had rained all day and then the sun came out just in time for sunset! PERFECT!
This sweet couple took advantage of the La Conner Daffodils. They happened to be in full bloom at the time of their sessions. We also got so lucky with the weather, it have been raining everyday for a week and it was suppose to rain on this day as well. Instead we got a gorgeous day!
How stylish is this couple! These outfits are on point. Yellow is my favorite.
Yellow and purple even better. This is one gorgeous momma and I can’t wait to meet her little princess.
This is Hazel Ray. This was quite the day! Hazel’s nursery was so beautiful not to shoot. Mom and dad did a great job getting it all set up for her.
Simple, yet elegant.
Then we got all set up for some posed shots. She didn’t give me much time in each position, but just enough. This little one much preferred to be wrapped.
Then some shots in their front yard. Succulents from all over their yard and flowers from a beautiful bouquet. There was some sun in the afternoon despite it raining the day before and in the morning! She loved being outside. Look at that little smile.
Brooklyn is growing so fast! 6 months and the cutest thing. She gave me lost of smiles even though she was sleepy at her session. Momma helped of course, since is the sun and moon right now. <3 6 Months is such a fun age. All the smiles and little milestones achieved. Such a great age for photos since they start showing their little personalities.
A little unsteady still when sitting but practice makes perfect!
Brooklyn is a pro at rolling though and she will go where she likes! 😉
