Seattle, WA Photographer
Dear fellow photographers! I moved to Illinois in the middle of the ‘arctic blast’ in 2014 with a newborn and a 2 year old that was too smart for her own good. I was miserable. My husband went right into a demanding job that left me alone often. I had planned to re-start my business asap and once the weather started getting nice that year, I dove in and found some happiness. I searched for inspiration and like-minded people that would be willing to take me under their wing. Let me tell you, it wasn’t hard to find; I cannot even say how much I’ve learned from the photographers here, about business, art, about technique, being an original and even being a good mom. This art/business and this community got me through these years of feeling so alone and disconnected from my family and husband.
I just wanted to tell you all, Thank you. I wanted to tell you, don’t stop. Even when you run into someone that isn’t appreciative of your wisdom or that takes advantage of you, don’t stop. Some us will pay it forward and are so, so thankful. You never know what someone is going through, what their story is or how touched they could be for complete strangers to care about their success and well being.
Next stop for the Williamsons? Washington State! Looking forward to building some new friendships out there! Please don’t think I’m too crazy when I find you on Facebook and beg you to be my friend! <3
Just for fun, every one of these photos was taken with another photographer or photographers that I’ve met here. There are ALOT. <3 Some were client sessions, some were workshops or shootouts and others were sessions just for fun.
Once again, THANK YOU and wish me luck in WA… Please? 😉 I feel prepared because of you.
